To Whom it may Concern:
My registered name is Gallant Knight but everyone on the farm calls me Luke. I am a 7 yr old 14.1 hand registered Arabian Gelding. My current human tells me I have EXCELLENT feet and that I am super smart. She always brags about how pretty I move when I am trotting out through the pasture. I am not sure what the big deal is but it sure is fun to show off from time to time. Her 13 year old daughter rides me and has been the one that has done most of the work with me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the attention but the problem is they don't have a ton of extra time for me. They ride me in the ring and I enjoy walking and trotting and doing some obstacle work when in the ring. We have just started these things called cavaletti poles and I have heard them talk about I am old enough to start jumping fences. Sometimes they ride me in an english saddle and sometimes it is the western. My favorite thing to do is to go trail riding. I LOVE IT! I like to lead the group and show them where to go. I will cross the creeks and trot the hills all day if they would let me. From time to time I am asked to ride in the back of the group which is ok too but some of the older horses walk too slow. What I really wish is that I could have a human of my very own. I get jealous of some of the other horses because they have their very own human. My owner loves me greatly and she rides me too but she has freakishly long legs and looks funny riding me. (shhhh don't tell her I said that) I will stand for the farrier, although I keep my feet well worn he doesn't usually need to do much. They give me baths in the summer and those are ok too. I have gotten to travel a couple of times and it was fun. I jumped right in to that big thing they call a trailer. My owner calls me an easy keeper, whatever that means. I get along in the pasture with all of my friends. I am not the cool kid so I don't get to eat first but I do get to eat before the old guys. I don't try to bully them they are just slower to the gate. My owner says with a little more experience I could make a great show horse in dressage, jumping, or even eventing. She also mentioned something about endurance. I have let kids and adults ride me in the ring, all beginners. Outside the ring they are welcome to ride me too, I just like to move out on the trail. I don't run or take off, (that would be just silly) I just like to look and explore all the new areas they take me. I promise I will get better and better every day you ride me. I love to work, be brushed and fussed over, my owner tells me I am way to good of a horse to sit in the pasture. She really wants me to have a job and excel at it. Won't you call about me? Please....
